TV commercial helps GrainGrowers extend its reach

When Grain Growers Limited (“GrainGrowers”) sought to expand its footprint and connect with farmers around the country, developing a short TV commercial was seen as an effective way of achieving this.

“We know farmers are busy and so we’re keen to provide information that’s relevant and interesting to them, without taking up too much of their time,” said Paula Fitzgerald, General Manager for Industry Development with GrainGrowers. “A video allows us to explain the benefits of being part of GrainGrowers in a short and succinct way.”

Paula had worked with Anvil Media in previous roles with other organisations, and was familiar with the quality of the company’s work. “The people who are part of the Anvil Media team are very easy to work with,” she said. “They’re good at taking a rough concept and turning it into a fully developed piece that communicates the message well.”

A key strength of the television commercials created for GrainGrowers is the inclusion of farmers as spokespeople.

“The farmers who appear in our videos are very genuine in their interest in the issues,” said Paula. “Anvil Media were great at enabling each person to articulate in their own words, what was important to them about being part of GrainGrowers. They also helped them feel relaxed and natural in front of the camera and the result is that each person presents really well.”

The series of videos produced will be posted on the organisation’s website, and will be presented at GrainGrowers’ meetings in the next few months.

“We’re very happy with the finished videos,” said Paula. “It’s great to have our farmers speaking in their own words about the key issues our industry is facing.”
