OBJECTIVE: Grain growers with very acid soils face a real challenge growing bean and pea crops. However trial work under GRDC’s Optimising Nitrogen in Grain Legumes program is showing new strains of rhizobia bacteria, which can tolerate acid soil conditions, will help overcome that challenge.
