Komatsu is a highly regarded global brand and the world’s second largest manufacturer of construction and mining equipment. Founded in 1917, Komatsu manufactures, distributes and services a range of sophisticated heavy-duty equipment including backhoe loaders, graders and crushers.

Since 2008, Anvil Media has provided marketing and communication support to Komatsu Australia via a series of print and video communications.

“The first campaign we used Anvil Media for was called ‘Control Freak’,” said Wafaa Ghali, National Events and Promotions Manager with Komatsu. “It promoted our utility mini excavators and consisted of a series of videos and a suite of five print ads. The creative concepts that Anvil Media came up with really hit the mark and the campaign was very successful.”

Since then, Anvil Media has gone onto develop eight other campaigns for various sectors and products on behalf of Komatsu. These have included video and print communications related to mining and quarry, skid steers, graders, parts and services and used equipment.

“Anvil Media understands Komatsu and what we stand for,” said Wafaa. “This means the briefing process for each project is more efficient, there is good message consistency across platforms, and the concept that they come up with is more likely to be on target.”

Wafaa cites three main reasons for Komatsu’s regular use of Anvil Media for their marketing and promotional work. “I’ve been happy with their creative capability, their knowledge of our business and the industry, and their flexibility and willingness to adapt to any challenges that emerge such as a member of our team being caught up with something else when we are filming.”

Wafaa says that each of the projects with which Anvil Media has been involved have been completed on time and on budget.

“Our experience is that Anvil Media regularly come up with ideas that work for us,” she said. “This is a key reason for our ongoing relationship.”
