One of our team is joining Australia’s ranks of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) remote pilots! Anvil Media’s Creative Director, Michael Neil-Smith, said that being back in school was cool. Especially when you get to fly a UAV over the beautiful beaches near Shoalhaven Heads, NSW. We’re pretty happy with the first drone footage he’s shot out of beginner mode. We welcomed Hollie Baillieu to the Anvil Media team in February 2015, to strengthen our rural communications portfolio and provide a team member for Canberra and the southeast Australia region known as ‘Capital Country’. Hollie brings a rich mix of agricultural experience to her role in Anvil Media. She graduated from Charles Sturt University—where she won the Agricultural Science Medal—with hands-on experience working in the viticulture, dairy, alpacas, beef, cotton, sheepmeat and wool industries. Hollie’s roles in rural communication include chairing both the NSW Young Farmers Council and the National Farmers’ Federation Innovation Committee and helping to coordinate the 2012 Australian Year of the Farmer roadshow, to promote agriculture at schools and events across Australia.
